Tamale Mirundi has this morning added his voice to the various commentators speaking about last week’s incidents in which a magistrate was hit by plastic bottles after she delivered her judgement in the famous “Vagina” case of Stella Nyanzi.
He said that last week’s actions had vindicated him and proved what he has written on severely in his various books on the judiciary. He said that Uganda’s judiciary is infiltrated with mafias who have turned that arm of government into a vehicle for certain individuals to attain unfair advantage.
Tamale Mirundi talked about several “unfair” judgments that the Judiciary has passed such as the case of his friends sebuwufu and Kitata. He said that certain guilty individuals had done worse but were let off easily by the judiciary.
Tamale Mirundi then said “I would rather do witchcraft than seek for justice in Ugandan courts”
He also aid that in more serious countries, one only becomes Chief Justice after they have made a “Solomonic” judgement but as far as he knows, Uganda’s Chief Justice has never made such a judgement.
Tamale Mirundi further predicted that such acts against judicial officers will not stop as long as the judiciary still serves mafias and special interest groups.
