The Ugandan Parliament has asked government to regulate the buying and selling of boda boda spare parts as one of the ways to address the increasing murders of commercial cyclists in the country.

During Tuesday’s parliamentary session chaired Speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, legislators also asked government to implement the president’s proposal on the digitization of all motorcycle number plates in addition to imposing heavy punishments on the culprits.

This comes at a time when there are rising crimes that target bod boda cyclists in Uganda.
