Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine will look back at the year 2019 with a smile. What a year it has been!! From cementing his position as the leading politician in the land, to being a kingmaker and scooping international awards.
Just when his haters thought that he couldn’t rise any further, he has yet again scaled another height. Bobi Wine has been nominated by the Young African Leaders Summit (YALS) as ‘Male Politician of the Year’. The summit will be held in Ghana in November this year. In the same category with Bobi Wine is Faozey Nurudeen (Nigeria), Julius Karl D. Fieve (Ghana), Lengai Ole Sabaya (Tanzania), Yongama Ludwe Zigebe (South Africa) and Nwosu Franklyn Chiedozie (Nigeria).
The forum is an initiative of The Young Politicians and Leaders Network, a global movement of young change agents dedicated to training its cohort to take up leadership roles to influence the future of Africa and the world at large.
The Summit, the first-ever largest continental youth gathering in Ghana will mobilize a diversity of delegates and policymakers from all African countries comprising government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, international agency representatives, entrepreneurs, emerging youth and student leaders to collate ideas from the continent’s finest figures to aggregate them into relevant themes able to shape policy on the continent.
With the theme, “Securing the future of Africa: The Role of the African Youth, Young Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs,” the awards and Honorary session of YALS 2019 to recognize outstanding African youth figures who have excelled in various fields will happen on November 22 -23 in Accra, Ghana.
Bobi Wine has already scooped awards of recognition in the USA, UK and Tanzania for his role in the fight for democracy and human rights in Uganda and the world at large.
