NBS TV after 5 show host Edwin Katamba, alias MC Kats has been sacked by FAME lounge management for unacceptable and disrespectful conduct towards management and the lounge’s patrons.
According to a statement from the bar and lounge, they sacked their external marketing personnel (Kats) after alleged failure to deliver to expectations, as well as ‘fearing only God”.
“To be precise, relationship management has been far lacking during the short spell Kats has been working with us. Management has tried their best to contain his unbecoming behaviour, for instance, the persistent taking stock on credit and refusal to clear the bills thereafter.”
However, MC Kats claims that Fame Lounge wants to take over his event dubbed celebrity night, but are hiding behind underperformance excuses.
“I have worked in the bar business for close to 15 years. My CV has Guvnor, Rouge, Sway, Nexus on it. I have never been fired but when you treat me like I’m not making you money, I walk,” he said.
“I’m not from a broke family but I chose this road because it’s what I love. That night (Celebrity Nite) is registered with my lawyers and dare host it and see.”
FAME also accuses MC Kats of dwindling their business, for he did not make any money. They claim that they pay Shs1.5m to Kats but his shows have been costing them Shs2m in deficits.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mutabazi alias Fresh Daddy has offered MC Kats a lifeline. The Mazike singer said he would give MC Kats a job at his new salon to massage clients after hair cuts.
“Let him come if he has been sacked that side. He can massage my clients here,” Fresh Daddy said.
