Kisekka Market on fire as vendors stage protest
Emerging reports from downtown Kampala indicate that there is an ongoing protest in Kisekka Market. Charged vendors are taking on heavily deployed police and LDU clutched on their blood thirst rifles. The downtown is now a ‘no go zone’ for vendors as the riots spread on. “I operate a beverage shop and now everything has stagnated, this can’t go on any more”, Nansereko Ruth, a vendor says.

The rioters are protesting the three day power outage that has stagnated their businesses. Ben Kiwanuka street is sealed off and cordoned by tyres wildly torching. Bullets are jeering in the downtown, bonfires and plumes of wild black smoke are seen flying in the atmosphere of the downtown. More developments will be shared shortly, stay tuned.
