As the saying goes, like father like son! The country’s First Son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has this afternoon donated a whooping Fifty Five Million Shillings (55,000,000) in cash to the Management of St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) for the construction of their school gate.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba sent the large envelope full of cash through his Assistant who delivered it at SMACK this afternoon in a meeting of Parents, Old Boys and other stakeholders.
The Kisubi based school run by the Catholic Brothers of Christian Instruction is in the process of revamping its image and infrastructure. The School gate construction follows in trend with many other schools around the country that have invested in large flashy school gates.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is an old boy of St. Mary’s College Kisubi having studied there in the early ’90s.
SMACK as the school is popularly known has been in the news recently over the electric and somewhat indecent performance by Swangz Avenue musician Winnie Nakanwagi aka Winnie Nwagi. She was forced to offer an official apology by Reverend Father Lokodo the Minister of Ethics.
SMACK continues to be a beneficiary of the First Family has recently received a gesture of goodwill from CCCC, the Chinese Company constructing the Entebbe Expressway who was asked by the President to pave and re-tarmac all the school pathways.
If there is something that General Muhoozi has learned from his father, it is probably to splash cash around. Who knows, probably he also carries “his” money in sacks.
