Travellers bound for Nairobi using the Uganda Airlines were this morning surprised by an hour-long delay that saw the grounding of their jet and switching to a new jet.
Explaining the situation this morning, the Airlines company posted on their social media pages that “This morning, flight UR 202 heading to Nairobi had a one hour delay. On pushback, flight deck received an indicator flash in the cockpit signalling that the aircraft needed attention from engineers”
They went ahead to explain that the “Captain on board made a decision to return and we switched the aircraft in order to save time. 5X-KOB was prepared to operate Nairobi and is already back at Entebbe. We regret inconveniences caused to our passengers. We thank you for flying Uganda Airlines”
It is not yet clear what kind of fault could have led to the ground of Uganda’s maiden jet which arrived a few months back.
