Residents of Wakimese Zone in Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District, have been left in shock after one of their colleagues was allegedly raped and killed by unknown assailants.
According to Authorities, The 18 year old who was identified as Norine Nalubega had burns of hot water and sticks forced into her private parts by unknown people.
Nalubega’s neighbor was alerted by a stench and houseflies all over the place which prompted her to alert residents about the death of their colleague.
The Neighbour identified as Josephine Namuli informed the area chairman about the incident after getting concerned with a bad smell and numerous houseflies from one of the rooms.
The chairman then appeared with instruments to unlock the door. Unfortunately, it was a body lying in a pool of blood on the bed.
Mr. Christopher Ganaggwa, the LC1 chairman of Wakimese Zone, said Nalubega had been selling tea and porridge in the area for survival but had migrated from Luweero where she hails from.
“We suspect that he was killed by one of her boyfriends – the one she was introducing to us as a brother and he’s currently on the run. It is sad that we don’t know his whereabouts because the landlord failed to give us the particulars of this man,” Mr. Ganaggwa said.
Police Detectives from Kyengera Police Station rushed the body of the deceased to Mulago National Referral Hospital for postmortem pending further investigations.
