On Sunday, Kyadondo East Legislator and Presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu had a town hall meeting with Ugandans living in Canada.
In a Facebook post, Bobi Wine applauded Ugandans living in Canada for the support they have continuously rendered to the People Power Movement.
“Let me send heartfelt gratitude to our sisters and brothers in Canada for coming out in large numbers on Sunday, to express solidarity with us and our struggle for a better country. It was such a great experience attending a moving church service which focused on servant leadership before we proceeded to a town hall meeting.” Said Bobi Wine
He further thanked the Ugandans living in Canada for constantly standing with the People Power Movement whenever they have been challenged in the past.
In his speech, Bobi wine said that Comrades in Canada led one of the biggest #FreeBobiWine protests which they did not stop at but continued to stand with the People Power Movement in the quest for democracy and the rule of law.
“We do not take that for granted. Thank you, comrades, for loving your country and pledging to do everything within your power to change it. I cannot thank you enough for your great levels of organization that left all of us amazed and challenged. I cannot thank you enough for raising funds to support the struggle. THANK YOU.” Says Bobi Wine
The Ugandans in Canada also unanimously endorsed Bobi Wine to challenge President Museveni in 2021 promising him support all through.
“…..To the leadership of the #PeoplePower team in Canada, you guys are the best. Your great levels of organization could only be matched by your hospitality and friendship. I look forward to joining you again, soon.” Bobi Wine remarked
Today Bobi Wine and Team will be engaging with Ugandans and well-wishers in Washington DC.
