Former Prime Minister, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi is likely to make a mega return into Museveni’s government according to emerging reports. Reliable sources found out that the Go Forward proprietor is on the verge of striking a deal with his former bush war boss, Yoweri Museveni.
It should be remembered that the two met on January, 1 at Museveni’s upcountry Kisozi farm in Gomba district where they exchanged moments. Members who attended that meeting revealed that the two had agreed to iron out their past parallels.
In 2015, Amama Mbabazi was sacked from the office of the Prime Minister after some NRM officials reported to Mr. Museveni that his accomplice was willing and ready to contest his sole candidature. His sudden sacking left the once stable NRM in unrecoverable tatters that have to date affected the party.
The emergence of the People Power movement which is now a strong force has sent serious shockwaves to the NRM which at the moment is marred with internal power struggles.
