Kira Municipality Legislator Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has said that the forthcoming 2021 general election is most likely going to be the worst election in the history of Uganda in terms of rigging.
While appearing on NBS TV, Ssemujju said he doesn’t expect anyone to think that the elections will be free and fair because the incumbent, President Museveni has already rigged the elections because he cannot accept organized competition.
“2021 is likely to be the worst election this country has experienced because our dear leader does not want any organized competition. I do not think there is anyone sane who will say this election will be fair,” Ssemujju said.
Ssemujju added that Museveni and his team campaign and mobilize for support on a daily but the Opposition or his competitors are not even allowed to sneeze because Police and Military are abusing the law to keep their boss in Power.
On the issue of Electoral reform Ssemujju Nganda who also doubles as the Opposition Chief whip, he said that he is not obsessed with the electoral reforms because even those that are present are not being followed and people work under Orders from above.
He also revealed that despite the 2021 general elections being the most challenging election of the decade, they will also be Uganda’s biggest investment since the Country is expected to spend over 2 trillion shillings on the election.
