Malawi Constitutional court has nullified that the 2019 general elections.
Deliberations are currently underway in Malawi after a constitutional court application to nullify the results of the 2019 presidential elections.
The General elections were held in Malawi on 21 May 2019 to elect the President, National Assembly and local government councilors across the Country.
Malawians are already in jubilation mood having dubbed today’s ruling “Judgement day” following tension that led many citizens into closing their shops in anticipation of what could follow after the February 3, 2020 judgment.
Five Constitutional Court judges are currently going through the 500 page ruling following an appeal challenging the results of last May’s presidential election.
