- Mugisha Muntu has pledged to back Bobi Wine if the two come to an agreement.
In an interview with one of the local Newspapers in Uganda. Retired Maj Gen (Rtd) Gregory Mugisha Muntu admitted that he is willing to back Bobi Wine for the presidency if everything goes on well.
Muntu who is the National Coordinator for Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), a political party that has slowly gained momentum, further commended the works being done by Bobi wine and applauded him for bringing up the vibrancy that had faded out in the opposition.
When asked the biggest problem in the opposition, Muntu pointed out the lack of trust as the leading problem in the opposition.
”We need to manage our emotions as leaders such that even when we fail to agree, we should not quarrel.” He said.
Muntu is also in support of a coalition where he says that the opposition should come together to field a single potential candidate at the top level as well as field candidates with a single force at the grassroots to overwhelm Museveni.
Mugisha Muntu branched away from Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) party in September 2018 because of misunderstandings that were not publicized. He was one of the founder members of FDC which gained ground in 2004 with a major goal of ousting President Museveni and worked in different positions until he quit the party.
