African leaders meet in Addis Ababa this week for the annual African Union (AU) summit. this year 2020 summit is held under the theme “silencing the Gun’s and creating conducive conditions for Africa’s development”. The Young African parliamentary caucus (YAPC) was set up to integrate even more minded legislators in Africa like Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi wine to redefine politics and leadership on the continent.

Taking up the role, Kimani promised to fight for youth voices to be heard when key decisions affecting the continent are made.

“I am honored to be elected the chairperson. The caucus will spearhead matters of good governance and involvement of young people across Africa.”The challenges of the young person in Kenya is the same as that of a youth in Ghana, Ethiopia, Morocco, and South Sudan,” he wrote on Facebook.

Bobi Wine expressed his gratitude to the United Nations office on drug, crime and African Union for the noble initiative in shaping young African leaders in this historical time.
