Police spokesperson Fred Enanga has call upon presidential hopeful Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine and other leaders to formally convey the information with the police and other law enforcement organs instead of dumping their consultation letter previous week at the police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala.
Last week, People power spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi presents the consultation letter to the inspector General of Police to resumes with their consultation activity inline with section 3, of the presidential Election Act. This is because previous consultation meetings were blocked by the police that the law maker did not met all requirements of the police order management.
Fred Enanga reacts that instead of following the agreed protocols, Bobi Wine decided to resumes the consultation meeting without agreeing with other parties which contradicts with the agreement he made earlier at Electoral commission with officials. “The way he informed the police was informal, you don’t just have to dump the letter” Fred Enanga said. He also added that the letter did not have clear descriptions of the meeting.
He added that in the last meeting that People power boss had with Electoral Commission officials, Bobi wine and other stake holders were guided to formally convey information with the police and Electoral Commission, thereafter a meeting was call to harmonize the positions of all parties.
