Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has vowed that he will soon declare the next course of action if police continue to block him from holding consultative meetings.
Addressing the Press, Bobi Wine noted that he has been very obedient and fulfilled all that was requested by Police but they continue disorganizing his arrangements and pushing him to the wall.
“I have been law-abiding but if they keep pushing us hard on the wall, we shall defy,” he said, adding: “I will call for the next course of action which will not necessarily be the normal procedure.”
Bobi Wine’s warning follows the recently foiled consultative meeting that was scheduled to take place at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Ndeeba.
Bobi Wine said he wants police to acknowledge receipt of his letters when they get them, respond to his notices for any consultative meeting, be allowed in some cases to hold consultations in an open place, but without holding processions adding that police should not ask for unreasonable requirements which cannot be accessed by private citizens, and allow him to take interviews from the media as well as distribute questionnaires
Despite Bobi Wine receiving clearance from the Electoral Commission to hold consultation meetings over his 2021 Presidential bid, Police insists that Bobi Wine has unfulfilled conditions that he needs to address first.
