The Electoral Commission (EC) claims they are not aware of the latest standoff between Bobi Wine and Police.
Last Week Police foiled Bobi Wine’s consultation meeting that was scheduled to take place at Pope Paul Memorial Center in Kampala citing failure to fulfill all required conditions.
Appearing on National TV, The EC spokesperson Jotham Taremwa revealed that the EC is not aware of Kyagulanyi’s standoff and Police because he was cleared to go ahead with his consultations.
“The only part for us was to guide him on what a consultation is all about so I don’t know what assistance an aspirant would be seeking from us. We are not aware and that has not come to our attention,” Taremwa said.
On Monday Last Week, Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine revealed that his team had written to Police requesting an appointment to discuss the way forward but they had not yet received any communication yet.
