The Headteacher of Katuuso Secondary School has come out to refute claims that Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleon did not sit for his Ugandan Advanced Certificate Examinations (UACE).
In the recent local news, many bloggers and news sites have come up to question how Jose chameleon managed to sit for his UACE examinations amidst a lot of foreign tours to London and Sierra Leone as well as attending Rema and Hamza’s wedding. He secretly sat for these exams at a local school called Katuuso Secondary School.
Speaking to one of the local televisions, the Headteacher said that Chameleon was able to sit all his exams without any question and passed with 12 points. “Mayanja Joseph’s results are not forged, like any other students he has a fully registered index number, he is fully recognized by the UNEB portal, he sat his exams and no teacher has a chance to forge his results on behalf of UNEB,” he said.
Students also came up to defend the claim, saying that they used to see Chameleon around during the UACE examination period.
“He was never aloof and behaved like one of us.” Said Nagaayi Jovia, one of the students at school.
Chameleon sat for his exams in late November and early December in 2019 and was able to score 12 points in a combination that had History, Divinity, Fine Art and Sub Maths.
Chameleon decided to go back and sit for his UACE exams after twenty six years in bid to contest as the Lord Mayor of Kampala where an A level certificate or it’s equivalent is required to be able to stand on this post.
It is however still hard to add up the lines on how Chameleon was able to sit these exams with such a busy schedule.
