Mr. Moses Bwayo a Journalist who was under a contract with a UK-based production company, Southern Films, is accused alongside eight others for holding an illegal assembly.

Bwayo and colleagues were yesterday charged with illegal assembly in connection with capturing a documentary of a song being composed by Bobi Wine, before being remanded to Luzira prison.

The accused persons were first arrested on February 24  and detained until February 26 when they were granted Police Bond, However, they were shocked when they reported to Kabalagala Police Station to honor their Police bond only to be detained and taken to Makindye Grade One magistrate’s court.

Despite denying charges of unlawful assembly, the trial magistrate declined to handle their bail application on grounds that it was approaching Court closing time and he adjourned the matter before remanding the accused persons to Luzira until March 6, 2020.

Last Week, The Kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson Patrick Onyango noted that the accused persons had been arrested for inconveniencing Nsambya residents as they shot a music video without Police Guidance and clearance.
