Kampala Mayor Aspirant Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone has criticized the naysayers who circulated false information against his brother Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso after he had been attacked in South Africa a few weeks ago.
Addressing Journalists after the return of Pallaso on Tuesday, Chameleone condemned the act of People cooking up stories that in the long run affect the Artistes.
Some of those on record for making up stories against Pallaso include Legendary Comedian and MP Kato Lubwama who accused the singer of “being insensitive and foolish and staging a stunt”.
“I still want to condemn those who peddled false information, not even second hand but like 10th hand information,” Chameleone said.
He went on to thank the African Music Princess Yvonne Chaka Chaka and all the Ugandans in South Africa who made sure Pallaso was free from danger.
Pallaso narrated that Chaka Chaka hosted him at her home in Johannesburg and went to offer him emotional support as well as tendering to his wounds.
His brother Chameleone warned him against going to unsafe places whenever he visits other countries.
“My brother got excited and went to the part of South Africa that is hostile to foreigners,” Chameleone said.
Appearing on Spark TV Rubaga South Legislator Kato Lubwama said Pallaso claimed to have been clobbered by xenophobic mobs yet he didn’t sustain any injuries but Pallaso revealed that he had forgiven Kato Lubwama for peddling lies against him.
Pallaso, in turn, implored the electorate of Rubaga South to discard Lubwama in the next election, saying he doesn’t deserve to be their legislator and instead Kato Lubwama went ahead and advised the singer to go to the studio and do good music and stop riding on stunts because one day, he will be beaten and killed.
