Four more cases of coronavirus infections have been registered in Rwanda
Rwanda’s Ministry of Health revealed that four new cases had been registered which included three Rwandans and a Ugandan.
One of the infected persons is a 34-year-old Rwandan man who arrived from South Sudan on March 6, his brother who arrived from Fiji via US and Qatar two days later and a 30-year-old local man with no travel history.
Another patient is a 22-year old Uganda who traveled to Rwanda form London on March 15.
“All patients are currently under treatment in stable condition, isolated from other patients. The tracing of all contacts has been conducted for further management,” the Ministry said in a statement.
Rwanda Air also revealed that due to the ongoing Corona Virus outbreak, they will be suspending all flights to India until April 30.
This development comes at time Rwanda has closed all places of worship and schools for easy monitoring of the situation.
The Ministry also suggested that large events such as weddings and sports are postponed and the number of people attending burial ceremonies be minimized until the situation is under control.
