The Chairman of Masaka District, Jude Mbabaali, has come out to warn all people in Masaka district that a lockdown will be inevitable within the next twelve hours.
Jude Mbabaali delivered this message using his Facebook wall where he called upon all the Masaka residents to stock enough food as soon as possible before the lockdown is effected.
Mbabaali came to this decision after learning that there are hundreds of people in Masaka district infected with coronavirus who are busy transacting businesses and in the process affecting people. According to him, all the most recent three confirmed cases of Coronavirus were all from Masaka and its no doubt that these had already infected hundreds who are infecting more people. More had been earlier confirmed and this put the district on tension.
The district chairman further revealed that all the stake holders are getting informed about this move and the military will soon swing in to effect the lockdown in a few hours.
Mr. Mbabaali based his time frame basing on the time of the communication, which was about 5:00PM, Monday March 30th 2020.
He commended the work of the COVID-19 Masaka task force for working tirelessly to save the Masaka residents.
