Following the declaration that a majority of the last eleven positive cases were mainly Watoto children’s band and choir members, Bobi Wine has come out to express his love and solidarity.
Bobi Wine who is largely known for his humanitarian activism has used his Facebook channel to appeal for nationwide solidarity with the children and the rest of the infected patients.

Last year in December when I attended Christmas Cantata at Watoto Church, one of the most phenomenal things to see were their amazingly talented children’s choirs. They sang, danced and participated in plays. It was phenomenal. My wife is also such a fan of Watoto Children’s choirs- our children regularly watch their songs on YouTube.
I was therefore very sad to learn that a number of them contracted the Coronavirus disease and we shall all be praying for them and other Ugandans who are struggling with the disease. To the rest of us, let us continue to observe the regulations put in place by health experts. Together, we shall beat this virus.
Watoto kids choir visited the UK
The children were returning from a performance in the UK which is already highlighted as a category one country. It is believed that they could have contracted the virus from that trip. Ministry of Health experts say they isolated the entire band till they collected all their samples and found them positive. The children are apparently in isolation and special medical care is being offered to save their lives.
