President Yoweri Museveni has on Wednesday, April 08 praised people power movement for donating food items through National Task Force to help poor Ugandans during this hard times of COVID-19 lockdown.
“Thanked People Power leadership for ‘joining the people”.
Thank you People’s Power. Thank you very much, You’re joining the people now,” he said.
Earlier today, People power principal who doubles as Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has gone beyond mere rhetoric and donated towards fighting coronavirus. Bobi Wine donated soap for hand washing and food supplies comprising of posho and salt to the COVID-19 response.
Few days ago, The 75-year-old president warned politicians and other leaders over distributing food relief to vulnerable people saying anyone found so would be charge with attempted murder.
The country is under lockdown as a measure to contain the spread of the disease.
