The notorious Resident District Commissioner, Eric Sakwa Samuel was yesterday beaten by a charged mob in Mafubira, Jinja district.

Mr. Sakwa had gone on his usual business of implementing the directives of his boss, Museveni. Sources say the day started well for him. He was in high spirits since morning. This season has projected him as a small god of the sort. Acting above the law and uttering controversial statements in public and at local radios has been his daily meal. Like in his first days of the curfew, Sakwa won himself public recognition for being the only RDC who actively takes part in tormenting residents moreover in the Local Defence Unit attire. A week back, before pouncing on the People Power pastor, Muwanguzi he had directed him into a brawl at a local radio station, Baba FM before the producers rushed to stop him from pulling out his pistol.

The common sayings; ‘karma is a bitch, today it’s me tomorrow it’s you and what goes round, comes back round’ perfectly depict what just happened to Sakwa today. Our sources say he has just been beaten by a charged mob in Mafubira, Jinja town where he had gone to torment area food vendors in a local market. Sakwa who was accompanied by his usual LDU troops numbering to four was dismayed when vendors overwhelmed them and beat him in vengeance for his gross misconduct. “We were tired of him. He is evil! He tortured our pastor because of political differences. We can’t let him turn us into animals,” shouted one of the vendors as he lauds the mob justice on Sakwa.

Sakwa has been in the news for his extremist approach in implementing the new regulations. He once commended the security forces for beating up Ugandans as he stressed that’s the best approach to instill knowledge in them. The same Sakwa would a week later smartly abduct People Power’s pastor Muwanguzi after a brawl at Baba FM. Our efforts to reach Sakwa for a comment turned fruitless as his office aides declined to speak about the incident.
