The Ministry of Health has reported 43 new COVID-19 infections, raising Uganda’s total to 203. The new cases are part of 1,838 samples that were tested yesterday, including Ugandans, Kenyans, Tanzanians and South Sudanese who arrived via Mutukula, Busia and Elegu borders.
Further details about the positive cases are yet to be released by the Health ministry. Today’s positive cases, all made up of truck drivers bring the number of those who have tested positive to 143.
This is the highest number of infections that the country has recorded in one day.
