Nyanza textile industries Limited, (NYTIL ) a company contracted by the Government of Uganda to manufacture face masks for all Ugandans has dismissed its security guard for telling the company general manager to put on face mask while at the company premises.
George Muyomba, a security guard attached to Pan African Carriers Uganda-Limited, a security firm guarding Southern Range Nyanza Textile Industry in Njeru was dismissed from the job after instructing the factory’s General Manager, Vinay Kumar to wear a face mask.
In the latest presidential address on May 19, Museveni announced that it is going to be compulsory for everyone to wear a face mask as and when they’re travelling and moving in public.
He clarified that the manufacture of these masks will not be a monopoly of companies like Nytil which have been contracted by the government to make the masks.
This has brought about a new business opportunity with different individuals seeking to also participate in this business and gain some profits from this opportunity which has presented itself.
