Boda Boda riders in parts of Kireka, kasokoso and Kamwokya have shown their dissatisfaction over denial by government to allow them resume work after allowing taxi drivers to operate at half capacity.

These are questioning why they have been denied their right to work yet they carry one passenger and taxi drivers who are carrying over seveni passengers are operating.

While protesting, the youthful Boda Boda riders have warned government over what is coming in the next days if it delays to look into their matter.

They have expressed their anger by burning a yellow NRM t-shirt which was put on by someone who came closer to their vicinity during a protest. They undressed him and put the shirt on fire chanting ‘People Power Our Power’

In his last communication, Museveni told the Boda Boda Riders to wait until further notice while partially lifting the lockdown. He told them to stick to carrying cargo only and telling them to stay away from carrying passengers something that these Boda Boda riders are saying it is unfair.

They claim that they spend a full day minus getting anyone giving them a task of carrying cargo. This has left many of them with nothing to put on table yet they have families to look after.
