The ‘No Nedda’ campaign was launched yesterday by the United Forces of change in a presser that was convened at Flora hotel, Wakiso. Flanked by the People Power, People’s Government and other pro-change parties apart from DP and ANT which declined to take part, the attendants resolved to effectively lead coordinated mass nationwide peaceful protests. The leaders urged oppressed Ugandans to hit saucepans, blow whistles, hoot and honk at every noon hours as a ‘time up’ signal to the 1% in top positions.

Also relatedly, People Power activists homes have been sealed off by the police to block them from advancing beyond their premises. Makindye West MP hopeful, Musiri David just confirmed to this site that police have rounded off his home in Salaama road. Other People Power activists in Rubaga have also made similar confessions to this site. Speaking to the Kampala police commander in a phone dialogue, he intimates that they are fully aware that opposition politicians are plotting subversive activities. “They want to burn shops, loot people’s businesses and rally people on streets. We can’t let that happen. So we are doing a preventive arrest,” he retorted.
