As the tragic month of June finally hits the dead end, the People Power presidential hopeful, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu returns with his other musical Bobi Wine side in a live banger slated for tomorrow, Sunday, June 28.
It’s barely 2 months since the first Women’s Day online special Bobi Wine treat left many musical souls unquenched and the crave for his yet another appearance shot upwards with millions of Ugandans urging the talented political songbird to hit the stage again. Being an all seasoned musician, Bobi Wine has reinvented himself with his long time back up singer and comrade, Nubian Li for another Sunday live online show dubbed ‘Freedom’.
The two will again team up at the usual serene glittering Magere state house and the wait is the talk across all Kampala and major Ugandan town streets. “I will load my data bundle, sit in my room and connect to the livestream to watch my president give us another treat,” says Ssemuwemba Joseph, a Boda rider in Makindye. “Last time I missed out because I didn’t have data but this time round, I won’t be left out,” he adds.
With over 30,000 online live viewers on Just Facebook and several thousands on YouTube and other online channels, Bobi Wine set a record that will only be broken by himself. The awaited show is likely to reincarnate the previous and analysts anticipate a broader audience that will break the standing record set by himself. We are certain that this coming show’s theme ‘Freedom’ rhymes with the musician-cum political activist unrelenting zeal to break the chain of Museveni’s brutal dictatorship.
