Kyadondo East member of parliament and the leader of the People Power Movement Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has revealed this while being hosted on a local television Wednesday morning.
Bobi Wine has said that President Yoweri Museveni is opposed to traditional campaigns because he knows that he no longer has mass support.
We managed to investigate his narrative when we visited Kampala city around Kikuubo lane. The subject of the matter is that there’s no justification of whatsoever to conduct campaigns without physical contact as dictated by Covid-19 social and physical distancing because people are already running businesses as usual where physical distancing is not observed.

This proposed order that campaigns are conducted digitally is meant to favour the incumbent who will, under the guise of security with all the protection, go ahead and violate all these guidelines. In fact, the election of 2021 could turn out the worst in the history of this country.
This kind of dictation is part of the fabric of Museveni’s government and the kind of anger it inspired has been turned into a dangerous commodity.
I don’t want to blame people who fall for these tricks. A lot of the problems are exacerbated by Museveni government and other factors that individuals can’t control.
“We shall rally Uganda to take part in everything that will bring about change. We must be seen as people here to free Ugandans. Even this lockdown is political.
COVID19 has been politicized. Museveni doesn’t care whether we live or die provided he stays in State House.” Bobi Wine added.
