Ever since Kyadondo East MP and the Principal of the People Power Movement Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine launched National Unity Platform (NUP) as a registered version of the People Power Movement, Ugandans from all walks of life started storming Party Headquarters to get themselves party membership cards in what can be termed as overwhelming numbers.
Those that have been welcomed include current members of Parliament, counsellors, artists from performing arts industry, common people and all sorts of categories.

According to NUP/People Power Spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi, they received a group of Persons With Disabilities who came to their offices for NUP membership cards. Many were deaf, plus those with physical disabilities.
“It was humbling hearing their stories, and the dreams they have. Any of us is a potential PWD, so let’s treat them right. Disability is not inability.” Joel added.
