The National Unity Platform party president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has this afternoon paid homage to the family of the now deceased Al Hajj Nasser Ntegge Ssebaggala who on Saturday morning succumbed to intussusception (abdominal complications) at the ICU of the International Hospital of Kampala.
Hon. Kyagulanyi commiserated with his fellow legislator, Latiff Ssebaggala Ssengendo who was emotionally struck by the demise of his elder brother. Kyagulanyi urged the family to be strong through this sorrowful moment. Bobi revealed that he had just spoke to the deceased about three days back. “I last spoke to Al Hajj Ssebagala on phone three days ago, and he seemed to have greatly improved. It was a great shock to wake up to the news of his passing. We are working with the family regarding funeral arrangements. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” Bobi says.
At the time of his death, Al Hajj Nasser Ntegge Ssebaggala had bounced back from retirement to join forces with the NUP party where he even fetched a party card and registration forms for the Kampala Lord Mayor seat. His ailment which worsened about a couple of weeks back could not let him face off with the NUP Electoral Management committee to vet him.
