Police boss who tormented Bobi Wine supporters in Mbale dies

We have since established that the police officer captured in that footage is Bugisu’s now fallen Field Force Unit Commander locally known as Afande Teargas who died last month in a local Mbale clinic after battling hypertension and blood pressure.

In the video clip that has already enveloped social media platforms, ‘Afande Teargas’ is seen enjoying the clobbering of an elderly lady as he instructs her to go to her residence. “Go home you wicked woman,” he is overheard saying in Gishu language.

The always off guard Gagamel singer who is lobbying for an envelope months after being kicked out of state house, has also jumped on the social media wave castigating the police for acting and superintending unprofessionalism. “I am a strong supporter of the NRM government, am totally against/condemn these individual policemen who do such acts of shame, brutality and impunity to women/mother of Uganda,” Bebe Cool writes in a poorly punctuated statement.

Important to note is that this condemnation comes a week after the Uganda Police Force was ranked the world’s most kind institution by the WISPI, a global police watchdog.
