After the Presidential nomination of Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni, all is now set for the National Unity Platform President Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu to head for the long awaited day. Thousands of people are already preparing for the procession that will see the worldly known leader storm into the city. Processions are anticipated all over the country and in today’s press conference, the president himself called on everyone to celebrate from wherever they will be.

There are however points that everyone needs to consider as we move towards the day. The president has said that there are plans of switching off the internet as well as power so that People can not witness this historic move. As the 21st generation, it is our time now to prove this government that we are wiser than they have ever expected. Let us make use of our heads and act extra ordinarily even when we still have to do everything within the law. We have decided to provide different ways of how we can overwhelm these tricks and turn out champions that day.Borrowing from the successful 2020 revolutions that have happened around the world, you might need the following things;

Power bank; As they plan to switch off power, buy or borrow a power bank and charge it fully to stay online. You might need to record all atrocities manned on our people or make calls to anyone in case of any trouble.

Download a Virtual Private Network (VPN) App. As they switch of social media, we should prepare to get invisible and operate in our President’s robadob style. A VPN can easily help you operate from Netherland when you are actually on the Ugandan soil. There are thousands of VPNs on the playstore and Appstore. Make use of them.

Buy Enough Data; Since we are not sure of this regime, even switching off the mobile money services or any transaction service is possible. It is therefore wise to buy a data plan that should take you for a good time. A weekly data plan could be the best option since it might take longer.

Beat off Teargas; Teargas has been a darling tool for Museveni but we have now gotten used to how to curb it. Make sure that you buy either milk, tomatoes, or a handkerchief and a bottle of water. Once it is spread at you, wash your face with milk or water or rub the tomatoes on your eyes and you’re up and going. Make sure that after despersing, you locate your friends. In other words, move in a group.

Make Use of Twitter; Twitter and other social media platforms have become a great connecting tool in the dotcom era. A unique hashtag should be employed and it is through this hashtag that people can get all the happenings in the revolution. In the current demonstrations, there should be keyboard warriors to make social media trends in order for the demonstration to be known across borders. Hashtags like #Blacklivesmatter, #Endsars have helped to propel demonstrations and give people enough information. So for the keyboard worriors, get your fingers ready on the keyboards. I would suggest Using a hashtag #BobiwineNomination and #3rdNovBobiNomination as the best for this historic day.

Donate. Every demonstration needs funds to be successfull. We all know that we cannot be on the ground but we can participate massively by providing help in form of finances or other amenities. You can choose to provide free tomatoes or free milk to the people on the ground or donate money to help those who might be arrested to get police bond or pay for hospital bills for those who might get injuries. We can do this!

Not on Ground, Be the Keyboard warrior; You can’t be successful in today’s revolutions without the help of keyboard warriors. I know there will be much live twitter and facebook feeds but don’t just sit and watch while your comrades are offering to save you. Make the hashtags move, tag the big news networks like Al Jazeera, BBC,CNN, Vanguard, AP, Rauters, and others in order to get the message of the demonstrators across the world. Make as many tweets as possible.

Museveni’s government has no option but to let Bobi wine be nominated. They cannot arrest him because they know what the repercussions can be. Get anything red on you. 3rd November is the start of the implementation of Mission 2021. Victory is already in sight.

Spread the love
