Senior presidential press secretary Don Wanyama Innocent has announced that the address by the NRM candidate Gen. Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni which had been scheduled for last Sunday is likely to happen today if Bobi Wine does not interrupt it with his eventual online address. “The presidential address deferred last Sunday will happen today,” Wanyama says.

He further reveals that the president aims at doing weekly televised national addresses but he faces stiff competition from his challenger Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert who has a very vast audience on all online platforms. On the previous Sunday when Museveni announced his address, he was compelled to defer it after Bobi Wine also put his own at the very time (7pm E.A.T) that he had planned to make his address. As case was last week, President Kaguta Museveni’s Sunday address has been set for 7pm, and will be broadcast on mass media. But it remains uncertain and squarely reliant on Bobi Wine and that according to sources in president’s press unit, the address is subject to being deferred again if Bobi Wine makes a surprise debut at that very hour.
