Reliable information from Civil Aviation Authority sources indicate that the only inland international airport in Uganda dubbed Entebbe has been offered to the Chinese following a failed debt settlement by the government of the Republic of Uganda.
A huge debt amounting to billions of dollars offered by Beijing to Kampala in form of roads, markets, industrial parks, factories and other infrastructure through the mega deals brokered by President Museveni and his brother Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho largely known as Salim Saleh are what has led to the seizure of Uganda’s assets.
“We have been warning Ugandans to speak out and block the government from getting unnecessary loans from China but they never listen,” a whistleblower in the CAA told this site on condition of anonymity. “It is going to take this country over 1000 years to clear the outstanding debt the Chinese owe us. Even if each Ugandan contributes UGX 1 million, we can never clear this debt,” she adds.
It should be noted that similarly in Mozambique and Zambia, and Sri Lanka, the country’s international airports are all under seizure by Chinese imperialists and all this emanates from the loans Beijing disbbursed to these nations. Similarly in Uganda, the Chinese are already controlling key areas like Lake Victoria where they indulge in large scale hazardous fishing and sand mining. Ugandans are being evacuated from their ancestral lands to pave way for the Chinese imperialists.
Our efforts to speak to the authorities in the Internal affairs ministry turned futile as all feared to comment on the airport annexation. Even credible officials who voluntarily wanted to comment on this story feared reprisals from security as they said they could not speak in this prevailing repressive political climate.
