Relatives of the people who were allegedly abducted by security operatives have this morning joined the National Unity Platform party president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine who intends to petition the United Nations Human rights commission on their behalf.
Armed with placards inscribed with wordings decrying the rampant state repression, the relatives of the abducted members say they are tired of dwelling in pain and fear.
“We live in fear because anyone can be a victim at any time,” Musa Ssenkaaba says. “Even being a brother to an abducted person is a crime of its own. I have spent a full month without sleeping at my place since the day the drone hand picked my brother,” he adds.
The NUP in its address confirmed that they are told a round table engagement with authorities at the UN Human rights Commission seeking their intervention and inquest into the state sanctioned abductions.
