As the 49 year old former Makerere research fellow and renowned queer rights activist continues to throw tantrums at a much younger 39 year old musician turned politician, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine, Ugandans have continued to flock her timeline with heaps of advice.
A well wisher who says knows and studied with Stella Nyanzi in the 1998 journalism class at Makerere university says she is just driven by hate and detest for how a young man like Bobi would beat all odds from a despised place like the slums to emerge as the most celebrated and inspirational opposition icon. “Because Stella slept in jail for 18 months for a parliamentary seat which she even lost, she will not back off fighting Bobi Wine who is already a serving MP,” Namubiru says. “She will not stop writing till she gets a mansion too. Her detest for Bobi’s success is hurting her every second,” she adds.
However, renowned Ekyooto political analyst, Ms. Patricia Ssewungu has in a polite way penned down a dossier tasking the 49 year old not to attribute her life failures to Bobi Wine.
“If you didn’t work hard in your tender age, you will see a house and even abuse the person who built it. We all know how you’re hurt by the fact that the young man has already wrote his own history at a much younger age than your elderly wrinkled self. At your age, you would be privately offering counsel in a much more civil way if you really claim to be for the struggle instead of seeking for attention.
Better work hard and leave a legacy for yourself or else misguided hate will blind you! A time shall come when people will stop seeing sense in your nonsense just because they are nauseated by your wickedness! Even the little you had achieved will totally fade off the minds of the masses and they will officially declare you mentally disabled!,” writes Ms. Ssewungu.
