The Uganda People’s Defence Forces in joint efforts with police have reinvigorated a house arrest on the National Unity Platform party president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine who was today arrested as he led a delegation of leaders that were to deliver a petition to the CDF David Muhoozi demanding for accountability to the missing persons.

Moments after his arrest, a heavy military and police deployment was again reinstalled at NUP President Kyagulanyi Ssentamu’s home in Magere.

By press time, no vehicles were being allowed to strain past the imposed road blocks being manned by UPDF backed by counter terrorism unit.

Our efforts to inquire from the authorities turned futile as none was ready to speak to this reporter about the heavy military presence. “It is a national security operation and I am not allowed to speak about it. Please contact the office of the UPDF spokesperson to get a comment,” one of the soldiers manning the Magere roadblock post told this reporter.
