While speaking to journalists on Thursday, Nganda threatened disciplinary action for FDC MPs who are not following the party stand. “We don’t want to have MPs who do not follow the party position. This is a sign that they will side with NRM on controversial bills,” Nganda said. “We are to take action on our FDC MPs. I don’t know if NUP will take the same path but as FDC we will apprehend our MPs who want to dissent with the party stand,” he warned.

Nganda took a swipe at Kadaga whom he accused of being a sworn hypocrite.

“I don’t know why people are so forgetful, they now want to present Kadaga as an angel. In that parliament we have suffered with that woman as parties,” he said while appearing on NTV last night. “I’m not contesting against Kadaga, I’m contesting for an office and I don’t care who the NRM brings. It has nothing to do with their performance, it has everything to do with their performance,” he added.

Nganda further accuses Kadaga of being a dictator who has instilled fear in the MPs. “If you can treat the Deputy Speaker, the second in command, fourth in the country in the way Kadaga has treated Oulanyah, you think the ordinary MPs will not fear?,” he wonders. He added, “The mistake people make is to think that for someone to quit a position, it must be at a point when you have nothing to offer. It’s a similar problem we have with the presidency – “when you are a good leader you die in officer”.

Nganda further warns NRM MPs to be repentant and stop being corrupt. “You NRM MPs have no moral authority to speak about money. You have been bribed by Museveni to change the constitution at least twice, the first I covered it as a journalist, the second I witnessed as an MP. You were all driving to Kololo to pick money to change the constitution and allow Mr Museveni die in office,” he says.

He pledges to liberate parliament from the grip of the person of Kadaga as he insinuates that she has descended into a ‘demi god’.

“I’m going to institutionalise Parliament. Periodically I think Kadaga has installed herself as parliament. The institution of parliament broke down long ago and was replaced by a personality called Hon Kadaga,” he pledges.
