The indiscipline and overt hate and disregard by Minister for youths Florence Nakiwala Kiyinji for NUP head Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine manifested after she on Sunday walked out of Rubaga Cathedral Church when Hon. Kyagulanyi was called to speak to the congregation.
“It was shameful and a showcase of poor discipline from a Honourable Minister in charge of youth affairs Nakiwala Kiyinji who arrogantly decided to match out the church as soon as Hon Kyagulanyi was called to speak to the congregation,” one of the priests told this reporter. “In our faith, even when you don’t like someone, you don’t have to show it in Church,” he adds.
How it all happened
As soon as Bobi Wine stepped on the pulpit, the former DP and now Nrm member was stared at by the large congregation that had gathered for the Easter day prayers and also to mourn the death of Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga as she walked out showing disatisfaction as to why the NUP President was given a chance to speak.
“She showed bad manners. She is so arrogant and poorly raised.” One of the congregants revealed. “There is no room for hate in church and this is a sorrowful moment where we convene to mourn our spiritual leader,” he adds.
This is not the first time that the Minister is throwing protest gestures at the NUP strongman. Last year even during the vote hunt in Masaka, Minister Nakiwala on record convinced Mr. Museveni that there was no way her people would vote for a ‘drug addict’ in a veiled reference that was directed at Bobi Wine. However, when the voting closed, the Minister herself was part of the huge list of the NRM bigwigs that were trounced by NUP.
