The bitter words from the guerilla war leader, Gen Museveni come at a time when a highly trusted source from the intelligence units disclosed to us how one of the intelligence units (ISO) eavesdropped a conversion allegedly between Kyagulanyi and some elements of the opposition planning to disrupt President Museveni’s swearing in ceremony with Kyagulanyi also planning to swear in self on the 11th of May.
President Museveni has therefore warned Kyagulanyi not to try using riots because he will not succeed just as many have failed in the past.
“I know those elements planning to disrupt the swearing in ceremony. I know that group but I warn them not to try because they won’t succeed. We are watching them and we shall deal with them.” Museveni says
A month ago, Hon Kyagulanyi called for nation wide peaceful protests demanding for the immediate release of opposition supporters who were arrested by the security forces and also calling for the independent audit of the just concluded general elections which Kyagulanyi claims he won.
However according to the electoral commission results, Museveni warn the election with Kyagulanyi only coming 2nd with about 35%.
President Museveni is expected to swear in as President of Uganda on the 12th of May which means he would have ruled Uganda for 40 years by 2026.
