The National Unity Platform party president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine has today met with the relatives of his supporters who were arrested during a security crackdown on opposition.

The closed door engagement which lasted for several houses saw the relatives share their plight with Bobi Wine. Sources privy to the meeting say the relatives want efforts stepped up to see the release effected soon as possible.
Bobi Wine commented in a brief statement published on social media.
“This morning we had a breakfast meeting with the parents, siblings and spouses of our comrades who are under detention at Kitalya and other detention facilities. Despite the challenges posed to them by the absence of their loved ones, I was delighted to note that they understand that the problem which our country continues to face. I continue to appreciate all of you who have supported our efforts to sustain them during this time.”
