The Uganda prisons service spokesperson Frank Baine has cried out when engaged for a media comment on the deplorable condition of supporters of the National Unity Platform party languishing in incarceration in the numerous cells countrywide.

According to Baine, NUP has come up with a tendency of playing victim in a bid to elevate their political mileage. “I am so tired of NUP and their games. NUP makes me sick,” Baine fumed on phone during a press interview. “Please don’t ask me NUP rubbish. If they are at discontent with our prisons then they can run to court,” he added and hang up his phone.
It should be noted that the same prisons boss a few days ago reiterated how his department was seeking a budget elevation worth UGX 30b that was to facilitate the construction of 5 more prison facilities which he said were to address the problem of congestion after it turned out that 60,000 inmates were too much for the current facilties. Baine added that the same facilties will be used to deal with stubborn NUP supporters who have become a problem in the community.
