The Kamuli woman MP second runner up and veteran Forum for Democratic Change party honcho, Proscovia Salam Musumba is far from relenting in her bid to end Kadaga’s reign. This follows a Jinja high court permission okaying an extra time for the petition to be served to the defendant (Kadaga)

Musumba says her efforts to deliver the petition to Kadaga have always been futile. “I have been looking for her for quite a while. I am happy that court has seen what I’m going through. This judge has made me fall in love with law,” she reacted as she spoke to media. “I have been guided to deliver the suit to her lawyer in case I am not in position to see her,” she adds.
In the petition filed before the High court in Jinja, Musumba alleges that the Electoral process was mired with irregularities like voter bribery, rigging and ballot stuffing. She also claims that the Electoral Commission returning officer pocketed a bribe to declare Kadaga as the winner for the Kamuli woman MP seat.
This petition puts Kadaga’s race for speaker in tatters as the law mandates that she first concludes a pending court dispute before she can think about holding a position inside parliament. Pundits and analysts believe Musumba could be an accomplice of the Oulanya and Museveni group who do not want to see Kadaga in the office for another term.
