Reliable reports from the Kyankwanzi retreat of the ruling NRM party MPs indicate that Gen. Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni has been advised to take his inauguration miles away from Buganda region where he suffered a bloody nose defeat in the just concluded general elections.

The NRM MPs warned that if the inauguration is to be held in the central region, it would indirectly empower the National Unity Platform party president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine who gave Museveni sleepless nights for the first time in his 3 decade rule. A knowledgeable source privy to the developments says Museveni was advised by the western region MPs he met on Saturday at the Kyankwanzi  retreat. “They suggested that he gets a neutral place either in the Eastern or Northern Uganda region,” the source told this site. “But the North is likely to take it since Museveni registered unprecedented success in the once war torn area. Proposals are being made and Gulu city is likely to be the host,” our source adds.
