The clip making rounds has a voice believed to be for the first son in law, a one Odrek Rwabwogo, the husband of one of Gen. Museveni’s daughters named Patience. The clip which made its debut was first played be former senior presidential press secretary Joseph Tamale Mirundi on one of his weekly political progammes on Pearl FM.
The same audio has yet again resurrected and was in fact popularized by NUP vlogger, Fred Kajjubi Lumbuye in his live video on Wednesday night.
In the clip, a one Odrek Rwabwogo is overheard making plans to get rid of the then Minister of works, Gen. Katumba on grounds that he is frustrating their progress and dealings in the Civil Aviation Authority. The same voice believed to be Rwabwogo’s is heard pledging to get rid of Gen. Katumba for standing in their path.
It should be recalled that towards the end of his term as Transport minister, Gen. Katumba Wamala sacked about 27 Civil Aviation Authority officials believed to have been working in the organs export cabal, a clique allegedly led by Rwabwogo as per the findings of Tamale Mirundi. The human organs export syndicate had hinged its success on compliant CAA officials who could easily clear the exportation without any hardships. The angry CAA officials still harbour grudges on the four star general who rendered them redundant which explains why they perhaps could have used part of Rwabwogo’s links in the SFC to execute the failed Monday mission of finishing the life of Gen. Katumba.
