One of the leading proponents of the controversial age limit bill, also former Kassanda legislator in the preceding tenth parliament, Hon. Simeo Nsubuga has reportedly collapsed after several of his calls to Gen. Yoweri Museveni have been rejected.
A source at the state house landline reveals that the former Kassanda MP is trying to negotiate for his survival in the 2021-26 government after confirming that he will not be part of the cabinet ministers. Simeo is said to be pleading for at least an appointment as an RDC so he can ably sustain himself in the coming 5 years. Simeo lost to the 23 year old National Unity Platform party candidate, Kabuye Frank Kibirige who defeated him with a landslide victory.
Nsubuga, formely a police officer is said to have fainted at exactly 18:00hrs this Wednesday evening. “When the cabinet list surfaced, he looked for his name but it was nowhere to be seen,” says a source in the home to Simeo Nsubuga. “He kept shouting and he threw his mobile phone on the floor before he blacked out,” added the source who only identified himself as a house helper.
Similarly, former Minister for the youths, Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi is said to have switched off her known mobile phones after confirming that Tibuhaburwa had declined to work with her in his new cabinet. Nakiwala, formerly a Democratic Party stalwart is to he redundant for the next 5 years till Tibuhaburwa decides to probably deploy her somewhere as an RDC.
