The Forum for Democratic Change party vice chairperson, also acting president, Hon. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo has attributed her appointment to Museveni cabinet as a result of the conduct of the National Unity Platform party president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine. Nabossa who just earned herself a slot to Museveni cabinet as a state minister for information and National guidance says it wouldn’t have gone this far if Bobi Wine and NUP did not front a candidate on her for the Rubaga Division Mayor seat.
“Those who want me to turn down President Museveni’s appointment, where were they when Mr. Kyagulanyi fronted a candidate against me in the last elections? How come they didn’t call Kyagulanyi to order? Is that how they had to pay me for my selfless service to the people of Lubaga, Buganda and Uganda at large? Those people are traitors, God has remembered me I thank President Museveni for identifying me to serve my nation,” Nabbossa says.
The FDC on Wednesday summoned a crisis meeting and unanimously resolved to let go of their former Buganda mobilizer. Former presidential candidate Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi who doubles as the FDC party president says Nabbossa’s exit is not a big issue for the party. “Yes Owekiitibwa Joyce Nabbossa has been an influential member but we will not miss her. This like other past appointments by Museveni of FDC members is an exploitative manoeuvre which is not going to affect us much as people think it will affect us much. She has done alot for us but she felt it was time for her to leave and we wish her well,”-Patrick Oboi Amuriat, FDC party President said yesterday when asked on Nabbosa’s exit.
